Hello and welcome to my (apparently) dead blog! I hope you don't mind with the lack of new post recently. However if you mind, well, the door's right there mofo. Anyway, it's exactly what it says on the title. I'm going to AFAID and nothing you can do can stop me.

This is my first time attending an anime con and probably the last, unless a certain idol group will perform on the next one. Kinda bummer that the artists lineup aren't as excellent as last year. Though recently I've taken a liking to some of Eir's songs. And both Haruna Luna and MARiA are pretty cute I guess, so there's that.

If there is no change of plan, I'll be in Jakarta from 14th until 18th. So yeah, I'm going there all day erryday. See you there and wish me a safe trip!
Oh please don't mind me or this post. Just want to write down a few things that has been happening in this past few days.

(Okay, okay, I admit it. The post title is not very original indeed)

Bought a new external HDD
Finally! After few years of suffering and suffocating, I finally got myself a new space for all these pr0nz. It's a 2 TB WD that I bought, certainly not long until it'll be stuffed enough bytes to fill it. Nevertheless, at least my PC and laptop can breathe now thanks to it. No more deleting all those precious files!

Hotline Miami
This game is cool, yo. Go play it if you haven't. Beware of the dogs though.

Molester Man
Another 2ch tale turned into a manga. This time involves a guy who's mistaken as a molester. That's the start of the unexpected turn of events of his life.

It's pretty awesome if you ask me.

The world hasn't ending (yet)
Those fucking Mayans and their stupid pranks prophecy. Here I was ready to get turned into tang while Komm Susser Todd playing with max volume. Such a let down.

The Mirror Lied and Clock of Atonement
Two short games made with RPG Maker. Man, I'm such a sucker for good RPG Maker games.

The Mirror Lied is about... hell if I know what's the story is supposed to mean. It has pretty good music though. It was made by those same guy who did To The Moon.

And Clock of Atonement has a more accessible story. It was about a stalker guy who killed the girl he stalked and found a watch that can turn back time so he turned back the time so he can prevent the murder in a Ghost Trick way.

Beneath a Steel Sky
A rather old (1994) point n click adventure game with cyberpunk and sci-fi theme. It's free on GOG so I figured why the hell not try it. The graphics is well, old, but for 1994 I'd say it's pretty. The dialogues are funny and charming with all the british accent. The puzzle is well-done, too. It's recommended if you're into the genre.

Punpun new volume, SOON
According to Hox, he'll start translating the new volume on Christmas Eve. Way to go to ruin everyone Christmas, Hox!

Aku no Hana
Boy this manga sure is fucked up. I finally catch up with it and I can say it's one of top ten most crazy manga in my list. I can only imagine what sort of reaction we get when the anime airs next year.

Finished Kaiji S2
Never too late for zawa zawa. That damn pachinko machine, man. (Also, Mikako doujin where?)

Gonna do those end of the year posts (again)
Yeah, just like past years. Or did I really do it? wakarimasenlol.
I'll start tomorrow if I don't lazy.

Goodbye cruel world.

Tokyo Encounter episode 18: Sugita and Nakamura talking about balls and playing Amagami.

Man, I wish Over-Time would release Tokyo Encounter sub faster. Watching those two playing obscure old game and spewing dirty jokes is really enjoyable.

In episode 18 opening segment they played game called Ninja Commando or something. They only played it for a while and after the title call they changed it to some random board game with baseball theme. I laughed way too hard even though I had no idea what's going on in this game.

In this game you first must create your own character (whose face is randomized!) and compete with other player, from grade school until you become top professional baseball player. It's played as a board game, it has random events to increase your stats. It also has two hard as hell mini games which one is to determine your contract offer by playing catch. Yep, basically a type of game you'd play with your friends when you're high as fuck.

Next they're playing Amagami. Sugita confirmed for Kaoru-fag.

Apparently Nakamura was having a hard time choosing the girl, so Sugita recommended him Sae.

But he chose Senpai instead. He got offed by her because he talked about  the health benefits of nopan with a cute girl.

In the end Sugita proudly showed Nakamura his savegame. He dedicated his game only to Kaoru. What a guy.
Oshiete! Kino-sensei
You probably didn't hear it here first, but apparently next year is going to be the shit. You may have heard all those announcements here and there, so I'm just going to make it simple. We will be having great times in 2013. Let's see what we are gonna get:

New Kino no Tabi project (link)
HAHAHA FUCK YES. I'm afraid we can't know yet what's this new project is. It can be anything. Asking for a new season is probably pushing my luck too far, so I'm fine even with an OVA or movie. I just want more Kino in my life.

New Mushishi in work? (link)
A new Mushishi anime? What more can I ask? If this is true I guess I'm going to rewatch the series once more.

Nekomonogatari (Kuro) (link)
Woohoo! This sets in between Kizumonogatari and Bakemonogatari timeline. Definitely have to read the novel fast.

Shingeki no Kyoujin (link)
From the trailer I'll say this will be worth watching even though I already read the manga.

UPDATE
Year of Idols - AKB0048 S2 and Love Life! anime

Watamote anime in works? confirmed (link link)

My, my. If somehow they will announce Haruhi S3, FMP S3, Spice and Wolf S3 or Hoshi no Samidare anime adaptation next I'm gonna believe that the world is ending. For now, let's pray it won't end soon.
Pic not really related or anything. I just want to post something in this forgettable special day. Well actually it doesn't have to be a picture of two cute girls with abs and boxing gloves but yeah, I kinda like this picture so why not share it with you. Have a nice day for it'll be your last consecutive number date sequence of the century. Get a girlfriend or get married or get a baby or anything for this day.
3rd anniversary yay
Well that was unexpected. This blog hits three-year mark which means I already write bullshit in MINORU'S BLOG for three years. Three years! What a waste of ti- I mean, yeah great!! Hurrah!! I'm happy to be able to write things I want to write even though nobody really cares about it. And I'm absolutely blissful knowing that there's somebody out there in this vast world who's willing to take their time to read my posts.

I like writing. I like to convey whatever I have in my thought into a bunch of letters. That is why hopefully I'll  keep writing in this blog for many many years later, even though maybe one day I'll stop watching anime altogether. Who knows. There's always something to write.

This blog also achieved 150k views earlier this month. This is a pretty nice improvement. This year has been great so far. Thanks to you, all of you readers and the bots. Without you this blog won't get as far as this. Here's to another year full of madness ramblings and shitty review of animu/manga/vidya~~!
What happens when two male seiyuu play vidya together? A lot of laughter and dirty jokes. Especially if one of them is Tomokazu Sugita.

Tokyo Encounter is a show where two of my favorite seiyuu, Sugita and Yuuichi Nakamura, play video games together and eat snacks. They also do all kind of nonsense talk and there's a segment in between transtition of one game to another in which they compete with each other in a challenge (e.g Guess from what game the playing music is). Sometimes they invite other seiyuu as well (even girls!) to play with them.

They play all kind of consoles and games from the old ones like NeoGeo or Famicom to the more recent one as well. The genre of the games they played varies from RPG, beat 'em up, fightan, hell they even play Love Plus+ in that one episode. And Sugita seems pretty hardcore in Love Plus.

Seriously, if you like Nakamura and Sugita, and you love video games, you have to watch Tokyo Encounter.
That time of the year has come again. Yesterday (May 31st), my favorite singer/doujin singer/former utattemita Yanagi Nagi celebrated her 25th birthday. I must say this year has been a great year for her singing career. Even though she isn't used as vocalist for supercell again after the last supercell album last year, she managed to go solo and signed contract to Geneon. She made her solo debut with Vidro Moyou which released on February 29 and it is used as Ano Natsu ED theme. That song is quite nice and I love it. A month later, her album collaboration with Jun Maeda Owari no Hoshi no Love Song was released on 25th. I can't be more happier, since Maeda's arrangement is one of my favorite. And the more recent, she's also singing the ED for Jormungand which also become her second single Ambivalentidea. It'll be released on June 6th. Other than those, her doujin career is still going strong. She's still doing stuff with circles such as PolyphonicBranch, Voltage of Imagination, Project ALCA, Last Note, and many more. Her duet group with Annabel, binaria is still awesome as ever too. I just hope her singing career will be getting more and more acknowledge. Oh yeah, she is actually had several solo live concerts sometimes but there's not much publication for those concerts, unfortunately. One of my wish is that maybe one day there's another supercell feat nagi single or album... and maybe even a big live concert too. A man can dream. Well, happy birthday Yanagi Nagi-sama! I wish you another wonderful year! May your voice stays lovely!

100k Milestone
Unrelated to the previous paragraph but I decided to write it here just because. A few days ago my blog hit 100000 views. Maybe you won't care but for me it's really important. I'm glad to see people read my blog, regardless they like it or not. Either way, thank you very much for visiting (and maybe reading a bit) this blog. You guys stay awesome and healthy!
Another Ib related post. A few days ago I discovered this beautiful MAD video. The song used in this video is Little Cry of The Abyss by sasakure.UK and sung by Asako Toki. It was included in sasakure.UK's latest album The Fantastic Reality of Aesop. It is really a beautiful song and I like it very much. If you haven't finished the game, do not watch this video because it's heavy spoiler-ish.

Damn, that was really beautiful ;_; . Now excuse me while I continue browsing pixiv for more Ib fanart (my current folder now already has 182 Ib-related pics... don't look at me with those eyes)

THANK YOU INTERNET.

(Oh and sorry if you don't see any post from me in a few days. I am currently in the middle of midterm test. Well, it's not like I'm studying hard or anything. It's probably just the laziness in me.)
Well, I read Psycho's post and it looks kinda fun to write so I make my own list. Here's the list of my favorit H mangaka:

Kisaragi Gunma
My favorite doujinka forever. I love every lines of his drawing, as he is the master of creating cute girls in every one of his works. This man here will be a legend soon.

Takeda Hiromitsu
His works are pretty nasty, but I love his art. Especially dem ahegao.

Tosh
No, not Gabriel Tosh, that terran spectre from Starcraft II. Tosh has some funny works to date, enough to make me smiling while fapping enjoying his beautiful art.

Cuvie
To tell you the truth, I don't really find Cuvie's artwork to be special. It is the story that I like from him rather than the drawing. Sometimes his works are vanilla but more often than not there are some heartbreaking stories in his doujin.

Coelacanth
One of two of my favorite vanilla doujinka. His works are often cute and heartwarming.

Napata
Originally this spot was reserved for Homunculus but recently I took a liking to Napata whose vanilla works are amazing. Just look at that artwork.

Naoshi Onizuka
If you are a lolicon and a fan of incest, look no further than Onizuka Naoshi's works. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Shiwasu no Okina
Great for shit and giggles. Seriously, I laugh way harder when reading his works than when reading "It's Not My Fault That I'm Not Popular".

Those are some of my favorite H mangaka. There are more actually, like Shunjyo Shusuke, Yamatogawa, Shinden Akira, Sameda Koban, Kensoh Ogawa and many more. But I don't think I need to list all of them, do I?
I actually wanted to write about a few interesting things that catch my attention lately but they ended up too short for different posts so I just crammed them here in a single post. So.. *ahem* let's start.

Watching The Princess and the Pilot
The Princess and the Pilot is... well, a nice movie. It has several cool dogfight scenes and uhh, cool airplanes. So if you like those sort of things, this movie is definitely recommended to watch.

Gyo sucks
Well to be precise, the OVA sucks balls. I just didn't feel the same way as when I read the manga. You see, the horror in the manga is pretty scary and hilarious at the same time. You know, the usual Junji Ito's black humor. The main character in the manga is that guy Tadashi, not his girlfriend. His uncle played an important role more in the manga. There is no tentacle rape in the manga. And, Kaori turned into that fish thing in the end. The manga is awesome. The OVA? Not so much. Also, the OVA needs more GASHUNK.

I wonder if ufotable made this OVA to be more plausible for the mainstream audience. Guys, can't we get a nice (and scary, boo!) horror animu for once? How about somebody makes a short anime adaptation of The Enigma of Amigara Fault? Anyone?

Starting LOGH
It is finally my time for this masterpiece. I know it will be a long and harsh journey but I swear I won't ever back down. Currently already watched 3 episodes, so that's like 107 episodes to go. Well, there was a time when I watched a hundred episodes of Naruto in a week (if only I can turn back time!) so somehow I'm sure I can pull this off.

...The main problem is, downloading all those episodes is a pain in the arse with my crappy internet connection. It sucks to live in the third world.

Smile Precure is the miracle of the universe
Before you shouted, "wait what?" Let me clarify it: yes, I watch Smile Precure. One day a devil showed up next to me and whispered to my ear, "Watch Smile Precure. It's the best thing you'll ever watch in your entire life" or something like that (o hai bro fallendevil!) so I went to the nearest download site and grabbed all the available episodes like there is no tomorrow. And I watched it. I watched it and I couldn't stop. When I came into sense again I had finished all the five available episodes I begged for more Precure. At that point I realized I've eaten the forbidden fruit. I know I shouldn't get excited when watching a cartoon for little girls. But I can't not get excited. This show had everything I love about anime.

Okay, that paragraph was so exagerrated. I love Smile Precure but I don't know how long I can last with this show. But oh well, forget about that, let's enjoy it while it lasted!

(Also, Cure Peace is the best Precure. Just sayin')

supercell new singles
supercell released two new singles, The Everlasting Guilty Crown with chelly on the vocal and Kokuhaku/Bokura no Ashiato which songs sung by koeda. While I admit I'm not really craving into their vocals, I quite like the new singles.

Originally I was on the side of "koeda-hater" as I got confuse with ryo's decision for changing nagi on the vocal with two young vocalists whose name I didn't ever heard of. My Dearest single's B-side wasn't that good (though My Dearest song itself is awesome) and Departures single is rather bland for a supercell work.

However these two singles are somehow a lot better that the previous two. Let's just say it's more appealing to my music taste. I know, the fact that nagi's era in supercell was ended is hard to overcome but here's hoping for those young 'uns koeda and chelly can follow her footsteps. Oh and speaking of nagi...

New nagi x Jun Maeda collaboration album
nagi herself is holding up well with her collaboration with Jun Maeda. Their album titled Owari no Hoshi no Love Song will be released in April. For once, I'd like to buy an original album! There are three PVs of her songs uploaded at YouTube be sure to check them!

Welp, the post seems longer than I expected. Oh well who cares anyway. No one reads this post I'm sure. Oh, and if you happen to read this post (which is unlikely) then thank you very much for taking your time and see you in the next post in this lovely blog!

Now that 2011 is finally reaching its end I can finally say it:

What a great year it was!

At least when it comes to anime and video games. In this year we encountered handful numbers of great anime. This is definitely the best year I've had since I joined the community. Also, I met a lot of new people and blogging buddies.

Well, since I've never been good with an opening paragraph, let's cut it short. I watched lots of anime during these past twelve months. In this post I will write about those anime. Let's just say I'm doing this for some sort of reminder for future read and also a reminder for how great this year was. Here we go.

(Beware long post ahead!)

Winter 2011 (January - March)
Looking far back to the starting point of 2011, it didn't sound too promising. And in fact, it really didn't. Except there is this one pretty cool anime called Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Thus my life will never be the same again. What can I say about Madoka that hasn't already been said? You too probably have already watched it and loved it.

I'm not sure how much of you that actually watch Level E but I'm sure I do. To tell you the truth, it was one of those surprising hits-type of anime. I wonder if I will still remember that show in 3 or 4 years later but the point is, I was entertained by it. The alien prince and his trolls, the alien mating season, the baseball episode... I'm still smiling as I'm typing this.

Another brilliant anime of this season is Hourou Musuko. I love its coming-of-age story and characters. And how they struggled with this so called 'puberty' thingy. It is a rather light anime yet it deals with the problem in a mature way.

Aaaand, there are always empty slots for shitty anime. In this season those slots are occupied by Infinite Stratos, Fractale and Korean Zombie Desk Car. IS and Korean Zombie are pretty much fanservice anime no matter how you look at them. Fractale is, well, used to be a savior of anime. And then Yamakan took an arrow in the knee.

Spring 2011 (April - June)
Spring season of this year is probably the most exhaustive season in my life. I watched a grand total 13 anime not included some anime from previous years that I watched. One of the sole reason I could watch that much anime was my brand new laptop I got for new semester. Because of that now I can watch anime at night. Sleep? Who needs it?

Let's start with Steins;Gate. That's with a semicolon ';' always remember that. I dare to say that Steins;Gate is one of the best visual novel to anime adaptation. A perfect mix of comedy, SCIENCE, moe, slice of life, drama and romance. Don't forget to add the most charming male character ever, Okarin and his trusty assistant/sidekick/lover Kurisu(tina) to those combinations and you got one of the best anime in recent years. The fact that Daru has wife and children also shed some light of hope to those ronery otaku out there.

As a fan of comedy and nonsense jokes, I found Nichijou amusing. Not only it is one of the funniest anime this year but it also proves it can be quite popular with mainstream people. I once recommended it to several of my friends in campus and they liked it. But when I recommended Berserk for them nobody likes it :(

Next in line is Tiger & Bunny. At first I don't even know what to expect but slowly it grows on me. Who knows that an anime about superhero can be this interesting?

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko has this strange charm that keeps me glued to the screen as I watch Erio wrapped herself in futon and ate pizza. Oh, and what's the news about the last episode? Is it out yet? Also, DAT OP.

Ano Hana is an anime that many folks considered it as the most tearjerking anime ever. I called it bullshit because not even a single tear was shed when I watched this anime. One of the most annoying thing in Ano Hana is that everyone was so obsessed over a single little girl. A goddamn dead little girl. Dead, as in drowned to death. And it also has an annoying character who like to dress as said dead little girl.

For a slice of life series, Hanasaku Iroha ain't so bad. We got the usual drama, comedy, romance and Ohana being Ohana moments. And this show teaches us to bonboru over something.

I'm running out of words so here are the rest of Spring anime: C, Ao no Exorcist, Deadman Wonderland, TWGOK II. There are also some short anime, like Fireball Charming, 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku, and Yondemasu yo Azazel-san which all were entertaining enough to keep me, uhh, entertained.

Summer 2011 (July - September)
Actually Summer 2011 [opinion]wasn't too great[/opinion]. But at least it's better than 2010's Summer season. The fact that there were still some ongoing anime from Spring such as Steins;Gate, Nichijou, Tiger & Bunny, Hanasaku Iroha and Ao no Exorcist definitely helped.

Usagi Drop is one rare anime that focused on parenting and such. It was lucky of me that I discovered its manga before the anime aired. In instant I fall in love with the characters, like Rin, Daikichi or Kouki. No one can resist Rin's cuteness after all.

One problem with Dantalian no Shoka is that the anime wasn't long enough. I felt it was such a waste of potential that the anime could be much better. Regardless of that, I still pretty much like it. It somehow reminded me of Kino's Journey, my favorite anime of all time. Dear Gainax, please make season 2 of Dantalian no Shoka and while you're at it, Panty & Stocking too.

I was about to argue that Mawaru Penguindrum is the best anime of Summer 2011. And how! It is filled with penguins! Everyone knows penguins are awesome. And that's not all. It also has some FABULOUS MAX moments in later episodes. The comeback of this Ikuhara guy is just as expected.

Last anime from Summer 2011 that I watched is Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Ni. Too bad it's not as wacky as the first season instead it was more focused on character progression. Oh at least I can get my Hideyoshi fix.

Fall 2011 (October - December)
Here we go with the current season. So far Fall 2011 is as good as it looks. We have Persona 4 The Animation which is adapted from the so popular JRPG of the same name. And yeah, it's pretty damn entertaining I tell you. Then we have our favorite guilty pleasure, Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. Nothing could go wrong with Fall 2011.

That was before we introduced to a monstrosity called Guilty Crown. Everything is so wrong with this anime. I still can't say much because it, God forbid, may get better later but we can't count on it.

Fortunately there are some anime such as the fantastic Fate/Zero which is currently my favorite contender for anime of the year and Ben-To which has incredibly satisfying fight scenes. Don't forget Mirai Nikki, even though the recent episodes were pretty bad.

For the calm atmospheres, I watched Chihayafuru and Tamayura ~Hitotose~. Hell, those two are pretty decent despite nothing much happen on them.

Watched: 8 / Liked: 7.5 (the line between like and hate in Guilty Crown is quite thin)

Other (+Movies)
Blessed my life, for the long holiday I had from June to August (yep, three months!) so I could finish some of my backlog during those times.
Here is the list of anime I completed during those time:

Claymore
Cowboy Bebop
Kaiba
Kuchuu Buranko
The Tatami Galaxy
Serial Experiments Lain (rewatch)
Kino's Journey (rewatch)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (rewatch)
Minami-ke
Strike Witches
Break Blade
Dead Leaves
Kakurenbo
Millenium Actress

That was so much that I almost thought I should get a life. There were movies too, but only two stood out: a over-the-top racing anime Redline and Makoto Shinkai's cloud pr0n anime Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo. Redline is so awshum it blows my mind and Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo looks pretty too. There are other movies such as 2nd Macross movie, Colorful, or Towa no Quon but I admit I haven't watch those. Some day, maybe.

I guess that's all for this post. tl;dr: 2011 is a great year for anime. I don't know when I will post the next part of this post but be sure to look forward to it!
Two years? Haha oh wow. Looks like I have achieved something that I thought nearly impossible to get: celebrating two years blog anniversary. Seriously, this blog was actually only a random project of mine in 2009. That was when my hands were aching to write something thus this very blog was created. At those times I didn't even think anyone would visit and read this blog (Yes, I'm quite pessimistic). So I really can't describe my feeling right now, as this stupid blog of mine getting 50k page views and still active for two years. All of these things of course couldn't be achieved without you, my dear readers. Thank you very much, you know who you are.

I love writing nonsense on this blog. It's better than, let's say, blabbering on Facebook. So I hope there will be 3 year anniversary, 4 year anniversary, and so on. I often heard that there is a non-written rule in aniblogverse which said that an anime blog will defunct after hitting two years mark. Of course that won't be a problem for MINORU'S BLOG, since this isn't an anime blog (officially). However I found out that the rule not only applied to anime blog but also all blogs in general. Let's just pray this blog will exist longer than two years.

NB. Recently I haven't got a chance to write a post since there's no time to watch weekly anime because I was pretty busy playing Skyrim with real life. Fortunately next week everything will be back to normal. Expect an usual amount of posts by then.

Well this is not really a blog post, it's merely an excuse to post this picture. Anyway, today is 11.11.11 aka The Binary Day. Most likely the last Binary Day of the decade. Well, there's nothing sort of special occasion other than today is the release day of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim! Woohoo I'm pretty pumped up!! With the mid-term exam nearly finished I can finally spend hours of my life on this video game without distraction. Ahh... this is why it's good to be young.
